# Pets You can choose a pet from the 24 available to accompany you in your games. Usually, there will be demons on the board that you want to keep intact, as this could break your card combination. In these situations, it can be useful to use your pet to defend one of the demons on the board from the opponent's attacks, thus protecting your strategy. In addition, you can sometimes use your pet to trick your opponent. Once your hero completes level 2, you will be rewarded with your first pet, the Athenian Owl. As your hero levels up, you will gain new pets of common rarity.
